From February 8th to 24th, 2002, athletes from seventy-eight nations around the world gathered for the Games of the XIX Winter Olympiad. The games were a rousing sporting success and the best attended Winter Olympics in history, a testimony to the planning and spirit of Salt Lake City, UT.
