Long before the Dallas Cowboys “Triplets” (Aikman, Smith, and Irvin) achieved pro football immortality, the World Champion Baltimore Colts had their own terrific trio – QB John Unitas, split end Ray Berry, and halfback Lenny Moore. During the era of the twelve-game regular season, Moore powered the Colts running game with more than 5,000 yards and sixty-three touchdowns, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. The trio notched two titles together, including the 1958 tilt dubbed “The Greatest Game Ever.” Not surprisingly, Moore was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1975.
