He may not have been the greatest basketball player of all-time, but he was undoubtedly the most graceful. Julius Erving, aka Dr. J., played 16 splendid seasons, launching his pro career with the ABA’s Virginia Squires. He blossomed with the New York Nets, winning three ABA MVP trophies and two championships. After Erving jumped to the NBA following the merger with the ABA, he added another championship, one more MVP, and eleven All-Star Game appearances. Over his career, Erving scored more than 30,000 points and grabbed more than 10,000 rebounds. To celebrate his jump to the NBA, the obscure Shindana Toy Company produced a 9 ½“ Dr. J. action figure, complete with jointed limbs, basketball togs, and a basketball. This is an extremely rare action figure; one you won’t want to pass up.
