The Atlanta Flames took up residence at the Omni Coliseum in downtown Atlanta from 1972 through 1980, the first NHL team located in the Deep South. Modestly successful on the ice, but decidedly a flop at the box office, the Flames fled to Calgary in the Great White North during the summer of 1980. This collectible puck is very rare, featuring the Flames logo in gold. The puck shows on-ice use – perhaps as a practice puck?
