From 1960 to 1969, the AFL challenged the NFL for football supremacy, finally agreeing to merge with the NFL for the 1970 season.  Playing at one mile above sea level with funny orange uniforms, the Denver Broncos were one of the new circuit’s worst teams.  On September 25th, 1966, the Broncos hosted the New York Jets and their emerging superstar quarterback, Joe Willie Namath, at the old Mile High Stadium.  This program is a slice of football history.
