After playing at Mile High Stadium for two years and enduring a late start to the 1995 season due to a strike, the Colorado Rockies moved into their new downtown baseball park, Coors Field, welcoming the New York Mets on April 26th, 1995. On a cold, blustery evening, the Rockies came from behind in the 14th inning to down the Mets 11 – 9, with a three-run homer by Dante Bichette ending a nearly five-hour thriller.
