If any movie was made for VHS, it’s Oliver Stone’s JFK. Originally released to theaters on December 20th, 1991, Stone’s controversial masterpiece, starring Kevin Costner and an accomplished cast, won two Academy Awards and a Golden Globe (for Stone as Best Director). This movie was the first release of the infamous Zapruder Film, which captures the assassination of a beloved President in stunning, color detail.
