The Viking Warrior, Peter Forsberg, led the Colorado Avalanche to two Stanley Cup Championships on his way to the Hockey Hall of Fame. The Swedish-born Forsberg played 13 seasons, combining European skill with NHL toughness. He collected 887 points in just 708 regular season games, and finished his career an astonishing +238. He was a five-time All-Star who won the Hart Trophy (NHL MVP) in 2002, and led Sweden to gold medals at both the Olympics (1994 and 2006) and World Championships (1992 and 1998). His jersey #21 was retired by the Colorado Avalanche on October 5th, 2011, and this pin set was sold at Denver’s Pepsi Center that night. A fitting tribute to a hockey legend.
