In Denver, John Albert Elway Jr. was simply the best. The Stanford grad joined the Denver Broncos in 1983 as the Number 1 overall draft pick. Over the next 16 seasons, Elway won more games as a starting quarterback than any player in history (a record now held by Tom Brady). Elway could do it all, passing for more than 50,000 yards and 300 touchdowns while rushing for 3,407 yards. Unquestionably a winner, Elway led the Broncos to five Super Bowls, finally winning his last two, back-to-back. He was the first Super Bowl-winning quarterback to retire, and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004. This Limited-Edition pin was issued to commemorate Elway’s election to the Hall, and comes with a full listing of Elway’s career highlights. A special collectible for a very special player.
