Originally founded as the Miami Screaming Eagles, the Calgary Cowboys played for just two seasons in the World Hockey Association, 1975-77. The Cowboys played at the famed Stampede Corral Arena, which sat less than 7,000 fans. The Cowboys were solid, with former Bruin Wayne Connelly and Hall of Fame defenseman Harry Howell, but lacked star power. Alas, after two middling seasons, the team folded, missing out on the NHL merger in 1979. This game puck features the Cowboys arresting Stetson logo on one side, with the league logo on the reverse. This puck is a genuine piece of hockey history.
